Hello, I'm Natasha.
As a child, I'd spend hours in the woods gathering plants and flowers, build tree forts with my mother and brother and play in the rain. I loved being active and spending my days outside in nature.
It's been 13 years since my passion for holistic health began although it seems like lifetimes ago.
One day everything changed. As I sat passenger, I noticed the oncoming car veering into our lane. In seconds we were upside down until we met the shoulder of an embankment and continued to roll until we settled in a field. I remember hanging there upside down, unlatching my seatbelt to fall and seconds later realize I couldn't move my legs.
We were hit by a drunk driver. The impact resulted in Lumbar 1-5 of my spine being broken, 3 broken ribs, lacerated liver, lungs and hand. I underwent surgery and I was placed in ICU for 3 weeks. I was released in a wheelchair which resulted in ongoing therapy for 9 months after. I had gained 50 pounds and was the most unhealthy psychologically and physically than ever.
I was told it was crucial to undergo therapy, strengthen my body and heal my mind if I wanted to have a fighting chance at living an active, healthy lifestyle again. Mental and physical wellness saved my life. After 9 months of therapy, I was able to walk and slowly regained the vitality I had lost. I learned that your mindset and way of thinking is one of the most influential attributes to your overall health.
Staying positive yet dealing with my emotions was one of the most transformative phases in my recovery.
I also discovered that not only what you put into your body, but on your body has an impact on health and healing. Your skin covers the majority of your body, making it your largest and most important organ. We tend to think of health as a mindset or a diet but it is is also imperative we understand the impact of the face, hair and body products we use.
I learned how important quality is when it comes to the products we put into our body and on our hair and skin.
A year later, I fully recovered and I knew wellness was exactly what I wanted to share with the world. I continued my education in Science Communications and Nutrition, which also led me to become certified in Integrative Nutrition through IIN in NYC.
Later I began to dive deeper into the importance of clean health and beauty. I wanted to help create further awareness and resources to people where I later completed my education as a Certified Cosmetologist and Esthetician.
My mission is to educate, motivate and support you through all of life's obstacles by implementing cleaner solutions into your daily regimen, addressing mental health and guiding you to the most vital version of yourself.
